CHILDREN's KARATE Fee structure and information

Valid from 01/09/2008 (All prices include 10% GST)

Bayswater Martial Arts and Yoga Centre is home of the Academy of Traditional Fighting Arts.  The Academy holds children's karate classes once per week during the school terms.  We accept children from 8 years of age subject to the child being able to participate and follow instructions satisfactorily. 

The children's karate classes are held in a fun, safe environment with qualified instructors who have 'Working with Children' clearances.

The classes are non-competitive and focus on developing your child's confidence, fitness, flexibility, coordination and discipline.    

Whilst the Academy has separate classes for adults, parents are welcome to train with their children. 

Term Fee: $170.00

Discount available for term advance payment when paid up-front at start of first term:
Two Terms $275.00
Three Terms $380.00
Four Terms $485.00

For children commencing mid-term, fees are worked out on a pro-rata basis of the remaining weeks of the term.

HOLIDAYS

There are no classes on public holidays, the Easter weekend and the period between Christmas Eve and New Year (inclusive).  Adults classes continue to be held during school and university holidays but the children’s class is only held during the public school terms.

FAMILY DISCOUNTS

20% discount applies on fees to family members (living under the one family household income) that join for the same period.

UNIFORMS & EQUIPMENT

The children's uniform (GI) consists of a white karate jacket and pants and appropriate colour belt.   No footwear is worn.  Uniforms and belts are available for $39 from the dojo.  All other training equipment is provided.

GRADINGS

Children participate in grading sessions at the end of each term and progress through the Academy syllabus (and belt colours) at their own learning pace.  Please note, that this is a traditional academy and children can not be awarded or graded with a Black belt.  Grading fees start at $11 and are paid on the day of grading.

*6am Yoga classes run for 1 hour  ^Kids Dance and Kids Karate runs on school term basis.

Remember, whichever class you choose, the body adapts slowly to new activities so it is important to train within your body's capacity at all times. However with regular and correct training your body will eventually reach a state of balance that will greatly increase your health and vitality.
